Vincent Chen as Vice President, Technical Services, leading the team to continually develop new design features and architectural concepts for our brands, and ensure the group’s standards and operating philosophies are implemented in all hotel projects.
Vincent brings with him over 25 years of professional experience in hospitality design and technical services management. Originally from Shanghai with a bachelor degree in Architecture from Tongji University, Vincent is an adventurous person who has lived and worked in many different Asian cities, such as Singapore, Macau and Beijing. Earlier in his career, he was a professional Architect specialised in urban planning and commercial building projects. In 1996, he joined an interior design firm in Singapore and started his hotel design journey, which became his specialty and passion in life. During the following decade, he worked for different renowned design studios and architecture firms, such as Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo Architects and LTW Designworks, overseeing the design process for many hotel projects across Asia, including Hyatt Regency Hua Hin, Hyatt Regency Kathmandu, Mandarin Oriental Tokyo, Sanya, Beijing, Hong Kong & Macau and Grand Millennium Hotel Beijing. In 2008, Vincent joined Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group as Project Lead to oversee the planning and execution of new hotels from concept inception to project completion. After 5 years, he joined Fairmont Raffles Hotel International as Director of Interior Design, where he was responsible for nearly 20 projects within 3 years’ time. Vincent spent the last 2 years in Macau, working for Galaxy Entertainment Group as Vice President of Design, focusing on the Galaxy Cotai Resort project, which consists of ultra-luxury hotels in multiple brands, attractions and recreational facilities, world-class convention and event spaces, and gaming facilities.
An active lifestyle suits Vincent as much as a sedentary one. He is interested in everything about cloud computing and passionate about art. While he also enjoys playing GO to keep his brain active and doing exercises to stay fit.
