Steven Blaess

Steven’s design industry career spans over 30 years working across the globe from the United Kingdom, Italy, France, Germany, USA, Canada, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, the UAE, Qatar and Australia.

During his time in the UK, Steven’s career highlights include Head of Interior Design at Clivedale London delivering £1.3 bn GDV of super-prime residential, hotel and high-end commercial office projects in Mayfair, including the prestigious Mayfair Park Residences managed by The Dorchester Collection, and the new Mandarin Oriental Mayfair Hotel & Residences.

He has been responsible for global sourcing of material and supply chain partners to selecting international and UK design consultancy teams to deliver Clivedale projects.

Previous roles include Head of Product at Zaha Hadid and Head of Design at Ballymore.

His work in industrial design has been extensively manufactured and prototyped by global powerhouse brands such as Alessi (7 million product sales), Edra Italy, Johnson&Johnson (11 million product sales), Artemide, iGuzzini, Nemo Italiana Luce, Fratelli Guzzini and Victoria Beckham.

Steven is a Founding Partner of My-Childe ZERO, a plastic-free product manufacturer, scheduled to deliver biodegradable consumer goods in 2022.

He has been invited to be part of a UK based research and manufacturing partnership, poised to deliver bio-panel products to the furniture and joinery industries.
