Sean Largotta

After a long and successful tenure in Wall Street, Largotta broke into the hospitality business in 2009, taking over The Raleigh Hotel - a staple of Art Basel in South Beach, Miami. After the purchase of the property by AJ Capital for 29 million dollars, Sean, a key figure in the management team, was responsible for reestablishing the iconic 105 room art deco hotel back to its legacy of star quality, with the likes of Calvin Klein, Clive Davis, Bruce Webber, among many other celebrities.

After its successful redevelopment, The Raleigh was later sold for 56 million dollars in 2012. His most recent ventures include Hotel Hugo, a luxury boutique hotel in Soho, New York. As one of the managing partners there, Sean implemented the structure and position of the brand. While designing the hotel rooms and the high rise lounge, Bar Hugo, with an Italian aesthetic, he was later inspired by a trip to Havana which led him to design a Cuban themed rooftop lounge called Azul. There, he hosted parties for Condé Nast published magazines such as Vogue and GQ and built partnerships with Mercedes and IMG during New York Fashion Week. With mixologist curated cocktails and Cuban cuisine set in a vibrant atmosphere with 360 degree views of lower Manhattan, Azul has been listed as one of the best rooftops in New York City consecutive years in a row by Time Out, Thrillist, Harper’s Bazaar and Refinery 29.

Currently, Sean is a partner in Gansevoort Hotel Group, where he oversees F&B and plans to help grow the membership-hotel model in Europe and the United States.
