Dan Thorman

Dan Thorman is Vice President of Development for Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, focused on Eastern North America. Dan also serves as an adjunct instructor in the NYU School of Professional Studies – Jonathan M. Tisch Center of Hospitality, most recently teaching Intro to Hospitality Statistics. Immediately prior to joining Kimpton, Dan was Vice President of Full Service & Luxury Lodging Development at Marriott International, focused on the Eastern US. Before joining Marriott as part of the Starwood Hotels & Resorts merger, Dan held numerous positions within Starwood’s Global Development Group, most recently as Director of Development for Franchise growth in the Northeast US and Managed growth in the Northeast US, Midwest US, and Caribbean. Dan held other roles with Starwood Hotels & Resorts in global development strategy, process implementation, and analytics. Dan graduated from Lehigh University with a degree in Business Information Systems.
